City Foster Families

What Is City Foster Families?

City Foster Families (CFF) is City Church’s new ministry aimed towards helping foster families in the community. We achieve this through two primary lanes: outreach and wrap around.

Outreach - Our goal here is to come alongside families who are at risk of losing their children to the foster care system. We partner with local DCF case workers, and the CarePortal system to find and meet physical needs.

Wrap Around - Our goal here is to wrap around foster families at City Church and other local churches, to help them through their fostering journey. We provide the following services via our volunteers: weekly prayer, family advocacy, respite care, babysitting, transportation, meal trains and special events.

Ways To Serve

JOIN A TEAM

Delivery Team

Members pick up items for delivery and deliver them to the families in need (ideally should have an SUV/Truck, have good open availability during the week, can lift heavy items, feel comfortable going to new locations, can minister to families).

Fulfillment Team

Members will help find and buy new/used items that come through a request and will help stock/manage storage.

Business Relationships Team

Members will be building relationships with local businesses and organizations that can donate/discount items or sponsor the ministry.

Partner Team

Members will be assigned a City Church foster family and will need to partner alongside them through weekly check-ins, prayers, calls, etc.

Daycare/Respite Care Team

Members will need to be background checked and can provide daycare or respite care for CFF.

Meal Team

Members will help coordinate meals for foster families by cooking, buying or sending meals according to the needs or requests set up on the meal train.

Events Team

Members will plan and execute outreach and fundraising events (clothing drives, food drives, etc.).

Fundraising Team

Members will plan and execute fundraising events for CFF ministry.
